Family Camp 2021

The “family” in Family Camp includes you. When you come to Somerset Beach, you become a part of our family. Whether you’re married or single, young or old, a parent or childless . . . you belong here.

God moves at family camp. Lives are changed and people experience him in new ways. Through our evening services, fun on the beach, fellowship with friends and even just quiet time to yourself, you might experience your creator in a way you haven’t before. we hope you’ll join us!

We provide a full week of family fun for significantly less than what you'd normally pay for a family vacation with so many options! Each registered guest will receive a wristband which will allow him or her to participate in all programs and activities!

We're so excited about the Family Camp program. to make a reservation, contact our office at 517-688-3783 or complete the form at the bottom of this page.

Morning and Evening Services

We are so excited to introduce our speaker for Family Camp 2021: Jen Starr-Reivitt, lead pastor of Turlock Free Methodist Church in the Sierra Pacific Conference (Northern California). She has been in pastoral ministries for more than 20 years and has served in a variety of roles including associate pastor, church planting pastor, and hospital chaplain. She is a graduate of Greenville University and Asbury Theological Seminary where she had the opportunity to lead Ichthus Christian Music Festival as festival director.

In 2008 Jen was diagnosed with cancer. She speaks openly about the trials of being a young mom with cancer and has started multiple young survivor support groups. Jen’s passion is to engage and empower all people to reach their God-given potential and for those who have experienced storms in life to embrace the redemptive work of God in their own story and reclaim their voice.

Jen is married to Jeremy Reivitt and they have three children. She is a native of Southern Michigan and was born and raised in the Kalamazoo Free Methodist Church. Her favorite memories during her childhood were attending Family Camp and Youth Camps at Somerset Beach Campground and life changing moments that directed her toward Jesus and eventually ministry.

We're excited to welcome Paul Sunderland back as our worship leader again this year. Paul is an Assistant Professor of Worship Arts at Greenville College. Prior to coming to Greenville College, Paul was employed as a full-time Worship Leader for 15 years at a church in Ohio. Paul has performed full-time as a professional musician. He has led and coached bands in multiple arenas, written several worship songs and spoken at music industry and denominational seminars on music and worship in the church.

Stan Garn will be teaching our morning Bible studies. Check back later for more info on what he'll be speaking on.

Larry and Katie Winckles will be speaking about their ministry in Hungary each night in our evening service.

There will be a baptism after Thursday's evening service. If you're interested in being baptized at this time, please leave your name at the Welcome Center.
