FAMILY CAMP FAQS
What is the itinerary for the week?

Family Camp will run from Friday through Thursday. Please preview the schedule above.

How do I get around the campground during Family Camp?

There are plenty of ways to get around and enjoy all that Family Camp has to offer! Stretch your legs and take in the beautiful scenery on foot, bring your bicycles for an easy ride around the grounds, or cruise in your own golf cart. Limited golf cart rentals are available for $80 per day (advanced reservations recommended).

For added convenience, take advantage of our Tram Transportation Service, available Saturday–Thursday from 1:00–3:00 PM. Hop on at designated camping areas and ride to the beachfront for activities, fellowship, and family fun. The tram also operates one half hour before and one half hour after evening services, providing transportation between the camping areas and the Big Tent.

Tram pick up/drop off locations are:

  • Big Tent (Big Tent near the lake)
  • Group Camping Area (Field House)
  • West Campground (near campsite 88)
  • North Campground (main intersection)

Whether you walk, ride, or catch the tram, getting around Family Camp is easy and enjoyable!

What is included in the Programming Fee vs. the Activities Bundle?

The Family Camp Programming Fee covers:

  • Morning & Evening Programs (nursery, children, teens, and adults)
  • Special events, tournaments, and competitions
  • Large group activities (i.e. slip 'n slide, bounce pad, etc.)
  • Beach & Recreation Access
  • Boating & Archery
  • plus any camping or lodging fees

The High-Impact Activities Bundle includes the following activities:

  • Climbing Wall
  • Zipline
  • Axe Throwing

The Family Camp High-Impact Activities Bundle is $50/week for a family of 4, additional family members are $5 each. Please visit the Trading Post to purchase the activities bundle, sign any waivers, and sign up for a specific time-slot on your high-impact activities.

Other activities that cost an additional fee:

  • Crafts (varies)
  • Tie-Dye T-shirts ($15 shirt)
  • Tubing ($20 per person)
  • Horsemanship ($15 per 30-minute session, ages 8+, limited availability)

Our Director of Food Service is excited to offer you a week of delicious food with a variety of choices. Daily menus are listed above.

Meal Costs during Family Camp are:

What do I need for checking in and out?

Please stop at the Welcome Center when you check in as our Guest Services team will be able to assist you at your arrival. The only thing you need to bring along is yourself and your belongings for the week!

At check in, you will receive a full Family Camp guide with all details for the week, a car tag, and program bracelets for each family member. Please wear the program bracelet to participate in morning programming, activities, tournaments, special events, and to use boats or recreation equipment.  

What are the hours of the Welcome Center and Trading Post?

The Hive Welcome Center, located at the Field House, is your Guest Services hub for the week! Hours of operation of The Hive Welcome Center during Family Camp are:

Monday - Thursday 9:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Friday - Saturday 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Sunday 12:00 PM - 7:00 PM

The Trading Post is located on the beachfront and is open daily from 12:00 - 5:00 PM during Family Recreation time. Stop by to purchase snacks, check-out recreation equipment and sign up for activities, tournaments, and more. Some activities may have an additional fee and/or require a waiver.

What is the availability and camper cabin package cost?

When and where are the children's and teen programs?

6th-12th Grade

  • Students entering 6th-12th grade are encouraged to join in the Wednesday night live concert. Bring your youth group and crew!
  • Teens have dedicated programming on Monday - Thursday at 10:15 AM in the Wagon Wheel Pavilion.

K-5th Grade

  • The children (age 4 - 5th grade) will have dedicated programming Monday - Thursday at 10:00 AM in the White Field House. Families can expect age appropriate bible teaching, games, songs and much more.
  • In the evenings, we encourage families to gather together for worship under the Big Tent. During the sermon, children are dismissed with SBC staff to the White Field House. Children are returned to the Big Tent, via trams, parents can pick up their children after the service.

Nursery

  • During the evening services nursery is provided, up to age 3, in the White Field House Annex. Parents can pick up their infant(s) from the White Field House Annex.
Is there WIFI at Family Camp and a remote working station?

Finding that work/life balance is tough, and not every job allows for a full week away. But guess what? We still want you at Family Camp, even if you need to sending a few emails here and there. Again this year, we’re offering a dedicated space with internet access. Check in with work when needed and still make the most of camp with your family.
