We provide a full week of family fun for significantly less than what you'd normally pay for a family vacation with so many options! Each registered guest will receive a wristband which will allow him or her to participate in all programs and activities!

Morning and Evening Services

We are so excited to introduce our speaker for Family Camp 2022: Mark Cryderman, pastor of the Dinner Church: Detroit. Mark is not new to Family Camp and has been involved for years. Whether he's a familiar or new face to you, we think you'll love hearing from him each evening.

Mark loves to build, and follows the “Form Follows Function” style of creating. So, when the opportunity came to start new churches in Detroit, Mark let the function (community) determine it’s form (food!) That led naturally to the creation of Detroit Dinner Church.

Mark dreams of planting a Dinner Church and other fresh expressions Church in each of the 26 zip codes of Detroit, and after that, each of the 96 neighborhoods.

Mark's wife Mary is the artist of this team! She is an accomplished water color painter and teacher. She oversees the food preparation for all of the Detroit sites.

As part of the Dinner Church Collective Training Team, Mary and Mark enjoy training Dinner Church leaders across the U.S. And back home in Detroit, they often host interns, individuals and small groups who want to learn more about Dinner Church.

Glenn and Wendy Lorenz will be speaking about their ministry in Costa Rica each night in our evening service.

Glenn and Wendy, both ordained elders in the Free Methodist Church, were appointed as career missionaries in April 2015. In January 2017 the Lorenz family moved to Costa Rica to work with Free Methodist World Missions. Glenn serves as the Coordinator of Healthy Leadership Development across the Latin American Area, integrating the formation of the leader’s academic work, along with a robust mentoring program and a strong emphasis on pastoral care groups. Wendy leads an international ministry to Third Culture Kids (TCK). All parents want their children to thrive, and Wendy’s ministry helps missionary parents navigate some of the uniqueness of their kids’ experience as a TCK. Wendy and Glenn have three children in the home (Ellie, Jakin and Isaac) and one attends Spring Arbor University in Michigan (Libby).

Children's Programs

We're excited to welcome Emily Youngs as our children's speaker for Family Camp.

Emily is the Children's Ministry Director at Renovation Church in Portage, Michigan. She is a graduate of Spring Arbor University and has a degree in Children's Ministries and Spanish, as well as a Masters Degreen in Life Coaching from Light University. She currently resides in Kalamazoo, and you can often find her enjoying a book at the beach, hiking, or relaxing with her dog.

Emily will be with the kids each evening, while our mornings will include lots of activity rotations for the children to participate in.

We will have a program for our kids, pre-K through 5th grade, in the Field House each morning and evening, Sunday evening through Thursday evening. Please check the schedule for times.

Children up to 4 years old are welcome in the nursery during all adult programs. The nursery will be open beginning Sunday evening, July 11. The nursery is in the annex room of White Field House.
